The shortlist for the 2010 Scotiabank Giller Prize was announced October 5th at a press conference in Toronto. We're very excited that Alexander MacLeod's new collection of short stories, Light Lifting, published by Biblioasis, and Johanna Skibsrud's novel, The Sentimentalists, published by Gaspereau Press have made it to the shortlist!

We also want to congratulate Kathleen Winter on her nomination for Annabel, published by House of Anansi Press. Winter published her first collection of short stories, boYs, with LPG publisher Biblioasis after it won the Metcalf-Rooke Award in 2006.
